Role: Lead Industrial Designer, prototyping & testing, CAD modeling, rendering, design for manufacturing, color material finish, and packaging design.
Objective: Design an outdoors dinnerware line that combines a plate and bowl and enhances the party planning and gathering experience. Utilize mixed materials and combine functionality to elevate the products from existing dinnerware sets. Design must be easy to clean and secure food in place while you enjoy your social gatherings.
Solution: The collection includes three Dipware® items: a dinner plate with collapsible bowl for to keep your meal and sides secure and separate, an appetizer tray with collapsible bowl for organizing all your finger food, and a serving tray with collapsible bowls that holds all your food for larger gatherings. All items utilize the same locking mechanism for the collapsible bowl(s) that allow you to secure your sides and sauces while giving you plenty of space for your main dish. Items include a plastic plate and collapsible rubber bowls. All items in the collection can be disassembled and are dishwasher safe for easy sanitation.
